March General Meeting Recap

March’s general meeting had 22 Members and 4 Guests in attendance.

Our guest speaker was Wayne Hammon, CEO of Idaho AGC. He spoke on the topic of “What is happening in the political world of construction this legislative session” We learned how the Idaho AGC and it’s team work on advancing, tracking, and opposing all different types of legislation to the benefit of the construction industry. In addition to legislation about money for transportation, building, workforce development and workforce housing, they are working to fix the transient personal property tax issues that they’ve heard about from their members that creates such an impact in dealing with the county assessors in the last year. They play defense on the side of contractors everyday down at the statehouse.

We installed 4 new members. Welcome Kristie Chavez with Young Elevator, Britney Elliott with Sherwin Williams, Melissa Anderson with Forge Building Company, and Sandra Wilkinson with Summit Wall Systems, Inc. May your NAWIC membership bring you everything you need and more.
