WIC Week is a wrap

Huge Thank You to our WIC Week Supporters and Sponsors.

Sunday we started the week off with a Wear Pink Walk & Brunch. The chilly temperatures didn’t keep 11 ladies away that morning. We did a quick 2 mile walk around the greenbelt from Ann Morrison and follow up with Mimosas and Brunch at Quinn’s on Vista. It was decided to make this a yearly tradition and hope it grows in future years.

Wednesday we held a jobsite tour courtesy of Micron, Exyte, & VECA Electric & Technologies.

Over 20 local women in construction visited the Micron expansion project in Boise, Idaho!

Micron kicked off the event by sharing about the project in the office. It was an incredible opportunity to learn about the scale, complexity, and collaboration needed to build a leading-edge memory manufacturing fab and numerous support buildings.

The tour highlighted the methods and technology being used on site, including an AI-driven robotic dog that, when equipped with specialized cameras, walks itself across the site to create a 3D-rendering of the build . This futuristic approach allows an accurate measure of the progress and quality of the build.

We also spoke with the project leaders about the unique challenges and solutions that come with a project of this size. It was a great experience to learn about the construction process of Micron’s expansion project firsthand.

On Friday we had our Wear Red Happy Hour at the Warehouse Food Hall Downtown.
